(Cairo ... eating me inside) video performance 2007 - 2008

How do you look torn apart, teeth imprints still visible on your skin? My answer is: a completely clean image is only possible on the surface of the skin. Teeth imprints are on the bones, reaching beneath the skin. The mechanism of eating is happening deep inside. It is clever enough to keep the surface of the skin pretty and clean. It is clever enough to conceal the massacre of eternal emptiness.  A tender wind blows to smooth out the fragile form. Teeth imprints are on the bones. The bones become a soil for a field of thorns. It grows and grows but never penetrates that pretty surface of the skin. Teeth imprints are on the bones, eating into the lightness of my soul.
